I have NIDO whole milk powder stored. Got it at Walmart several years ago. I cannot find the exact one I have there now, at least in the Kietzke store. The one I have is basically just whole milk powder, not the specialty items for different age children.

I use Parmalat as my primary daily use milk, as well as a storage item. It is one of the items I rotate on about a six month basis.
It is hard to find the Parmalat whole milk now, though the 2% is still available in the Kietzke Walmart most of the time.

I really love the Parmalat whole milk. Not only does it store well on the shelf, but keeps extremely well refrigerated after opening, too. I can honestly say I have not had any of it go bad, even when kept more than three weeks opened in the fridge.

Just my opinion.

Jerry,
I wonder how long the whole milk powder will store?

We use a lot of skim powder milk here, mostly for the cost.  It doesn't last long because I bake a lot of bread with it.

a "three quart" box of skim, "Mix-n-Drink" brand, will generally last one week, so we don't have any stored.

I'd like to have the whole milk powder in my long term prep stores, but do wonder about how often it should be rotated.

It is probably time I rotated the NIDO. I will let you know how it is when I dig it out and check it.

I have had it over a year, so it should be a good test.
