You may find a need to use cement, without access to the commercial product.

If you need to use this in a wet climate, be sure to place a rain shedding structure above it.
I note one factor which will effect how strong the structure becomes. Note the Anasazi "bricks" and the way the grass fibers are aligned (like re-bar in commercial cement). This is different than the bricks produced by the author of this article. He mixed his grass stems in a random pattern, which, while still strong, is less so than the "aligned" fiber method. It takes longer to make the stronger cement, but may be worth the extra effort. Think earthquake survival here.
