High wind threat prompts NV Energy to issue outage watch for Carson-Minden PSOM zone.

NV Energy is monitoring fire weather conditions in the Carson-Minden PSOM zone and a Public Safety Outage Management event is possible for that zone only on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 starting at 11 a.m. and ending on Wednesday, August 18 at 6 p.m. This outage will impact approximately 500 customers.

I just moved from a location where the electric company shut off my power 1 to 3 times per year,  3 to 5 day long outages.  Its time to get a transfer switch.

I am now on a propane fueled whole house generator.
