Prepper friend
« on: May 31, 2021, 05:22:28 PM »
I was wondering about getting accepted to NNPG for a friend he says he signed up but was waiting to be accepted He is a Marine interested in prepping and HAM radio. Not sure how long it takes I can ask what he tried logging on with if that helps but it was about a week ago and he was hoping to participate/listen in on this weeks prepper net wednesday night.

He can listen to the net, if he has a radio, or online, without being a member of the forum. I believe he can get on the site as a guest, though I am not sure if he can post. Pretty sure he can get into chat, as well, without being a member, though I am not sure.

If he is a licensed Amateur operator he can participate in the net without being a member here. If not licensed he can be in chat and participate, I think. Well, he can be in the chat and participate if he is licensed, too.

Pretty much just my opinion, as I am not as sure of the above as I thought I was when I started typing.

Hi all,One does not have to be accepted. The person simply has to reply to the email sent after registering.Perhaps the person did not enter a valid email address.

I have the option of activating a new member manually, which I did.
There were 4 new members awaiting activation.

I had trouble getting into the Forums.  Ken finally activated my account manually tonight.  After getting logged in, I checked my email address on my profile and it is correct.  I never received an automated confirmation email.  FYI in case there are other people who can't sign up.

The confirmation emails may be getting flagged as spam.
Can you tell me if it is in your spam folder?
Thanks.

Most folks are happy being a part of the Great Shepherds Flock.
Some folks choose to be wolves and prey on the flock.
Some folks choose to defend the flock and confront the wolf.

You are correct.  I checked all of my folders....

EXCEPT my SPAM folder which was hidden from my view.  After finding and clicking on a down arrow symbol, I was able to pull the emails up.  They are all there.

Thanks you your help.
