well i was searching for imformation on navigation to refresh my somewhat rusty brain pan so we at the ranch can do a better job
pinpointing recent wilderness fire startups.
and i came accross this which may be usefull to people here lots of imformation but a little tricky to navigate i thought.

we could convert to grid and triangulate fire location.my GMS and MGA was a little confused because last time i realy played with a compass it was in the southern hemisphere.
sometimes its very hard to be sure of where fire is and we spend a lot of time looking.
