How likely is silk intolerance?  I've read about it, but not much information was stated.

When actually doing such, I never used silk, mainly nylon (or similar).


With actual silk suture material I suspect more problems would happen due to infection due to not being able to clean the wound (austere environment).


MedVet veterinary supply co sells threadable needles and suture material.


Getting back on track - best guess - white would be least likely to have a problem.
All silk suture material I've seen has been black
